I saw a video about how the assets for Star Wars Battlefront EA were scanned in from reality and had to try it out for myself! This backyard firepit was the perfect subject, having lots of "organic" detail and a lot of room for tripods. Using photos from every angle, I reconstructed a 3D model from the raw image files through a trial version of Agisoft Photoscan. It's amazing how detailed the final version was!
